The Customer Side of the Carpet Cleaning App: What Homeowners See While Your Tech Works

A tech app does not only change things for the tech and the office. Everything the tech does on the phone shows up somewhere for the customer: a text, a spot on a map, a photo, an invoice. When the tech side and the customer side work together, the customer stops wondering what is going on, and the office phone gets quieter.

Two Apps, One Job

The commercial night route is covered in After-Hours Office Carpet on the Tech App: Running the Commercial Van at Night. This guide turns to the homeowner, who is usually home and very interested in when the van will show up.

CarpetBossPro has a customer app alongside the tech app. The tech works the job on their phone, and the customer sees the results on theirs. Nothing extra is asked of the tech. The customer side updates from what the tech is already doing.

Before the Visit: Alerts and the Live Map

Customers choose their own alerts:

On the day of the visit, the customer app shows today's route on a live map with the customer's place in line: “You're stop 12 of 20 — the crew is 5 stops away.” A customer who can see that does not need to call and ask. They can finish a call, move the car out of the driveway so the van can park close, or put the dog in the back room. See Automatic On-the-Way and Arrived Texts From the Carpet Tech App.

After the Visit: Photos and the Invoice

Once the job is done, the customer can see the before-and-after photos the tech took. That is often the moment a customer really appreciates the job, seeing the gray hallway next to the clean one. Photos also answer quiet doubts, like whether the stairs were done, without a phone call.

The invoice is in the customer app too. If the card on file was charged at completion, the customer sees what was paid. If not, they can pay online right there. Customers can also update their card in the app, which keeps auto-charge working for the next visit. See Before-and-After Photos From the Carpet Tech's Phone, Shown to the Customer in Their App.

Requests, Sign-Ups and Plans

The customer app is not only for the day of the visit. Customers can:

New requests land on the Waiting List alongside homes that have come due, so the office can fit them into a day by area. A customer who signs up for a yearly plan comes due again on their own, and the next job fills in from this one.

Ratings and Referrals

Customers can rate the service and refer friends from the customer app. A customer who just looked at a great before-and-after photo is in the right frame of mind to do both. Carpet cleaning grows on word of mouth, and making it easy for happy customers to pass your name along is one of the best things the customer side does.

Ratings also give the owner a quiet read on each job. A low rating on a job with a stain record and a clear note is a different conversation than one with nothing recorded.

Replies Go to the Office, Not the Tech

When customers reply to texts, the replies come to the office through two-way texting. That keeps the tech focused on the job and keeps their personal number private. The office passes along anything the tech needs, like a new gate code or a request to start upstairs.

The tech side and customer side together are what make the whole system work. The tech does the job and taps through it, and the customer sees what they need without anyone stopping to make a call.
